Livid Minds: The Know

Livid Minds is a Portland based metal quartet that is known for their hard work promoting shows and their energetic live performances. After three years playing locally and still boasting their same four original members, the band releases The Know which is eight tracks of rock flavored metal goodness. The first track “Drive” is aptly named as it is a driving force with full throated vocals ranging from melodic singing to balls out screaming and eventually builds into a rhythmic chorus. I also really liked “Passage” which has a slower more melody driven start before thrashing into some frantic drums and guitar. I love the vicious scream at the beginning of the third track but I think “Nothing” and title track “The Know” are probably my favorites off this effort.
